Beats Batch with Katie Blvd

BEATS*BATCH is the start to the recreation of the original beat show series that was beginning to be cultivated in the Greensboro, Durham, Raleigh and Charlotte music scenes. Hip Hop in our era has changed into an extremely multifaceted monster, branching off into many different categories and subgenres. The producers behind the artists are oftentimes considered as just a backend part of the process, and they're known to fade to the background unless they make music of their own. But without the beats, there would be no song, so let's show some love to the creatives who make it all possible, shall we?

Katie Hutchinson (Katie Blvd) is a graphic designer, illustrator, collage artist and musician from Raleigh, North Carolina.

She is currently living and working in Greensboro, NC, creating artwork for friends and artists alike. Her focus is the creation of works that not only is a reflection of the client but herself as well.

Interdisciplinary work of Katie's is inspired by the topics of diversity, personal discovery, her love for hip hop culture, and the fight against social norms.

Her writing and music is a method of telling her own personal story as well as attempting to connect with an untouched audience of those in the out-crowd.
